STS Dyno Number Low
If you want a cheap easy setup, get some 317 6.0 heads (stock is fine). It will lower the compression more, the lower the better really, I personally like 7.8:1 - 8.5:1. If you even think about worrying about losing power from lowering the comp i'm gonna smack you, take your 408 and install it in my car. Heads help, but that is not your issue, it's the turbo. Stock heads on a 408 is not a great combo, but i'd sooner put a better matched turbo on and worry about heads later.
You want really pathetic dyno numbers? My car made 470 uncorrected on a mustang dyno at 14psi through my th400. The result is in the sig, mid 10's in a heavier than stock car. I'm eventually going to do heads on my car in the future, but that is not something I'm worried about at this time due to the cost involved (new turbos are cheaper and easier to install and make more power).

I think the 408 cubic inches OUTFLOW the turbo into an area of high inefficiency... I don't think it will make 600 rwhp... On a 346 a T-70 will, but not on a 408... Not properly matched, IMO... Hell, even a 346 will outflow the T-70 around 600+ a little rwhp... I tried to push one (MPT-70) myself, but needed the T-76GTQ.
Motor's being choked by the turbo, IMO.
