LOL 2nd one for me 9.82 is the best its ran not alot of motor just alot of boost. You still pushin water when its hot???

Its fine when its hot since the power drops off, when its cold out its the worse for pushing water,

I thought I read somewhere it only done it when it was hot. When you get your motor freshend up you should think about O-ringing the block and studing it. Worked for me ysi 20 psi no intercooler with meth never had a problem even when I made a mistake with the BTM and ran 30 degrees timing and melted 5 pistions.

Its horsespower and not heat related really, I have studs and o-rings wont help that much for what I'm doing. I'm happy with what it runs for what it weighs

I did not know your was o-ringed and studded. I knew it was HP related just thought maybe cinching the gasket might compensate for the head lift. Your car impresses the hell out of me to say the least. I am KIND of throwing around the idea of putting a ls2 with a 76-80 or so in my coupe.

Its not o-ringed, doing that will just make my 2000.00 heads worthless and probably wont help my situation much. Its been holding fine with the AFR heads at 14-15 psi so thats where I'll leave it for now. I really wanted to go 8s with the 346 but unless I lose some weight, go to manual steering and some lighter drivetrain stuff it probably wont happen. I could do it with more boost I guess but I'd rather race it then fix it

Spoken like a true wise man. My heads aren't grooved. I am sure alot of people here would like to see it dip in the 8's also I sure would.

I just dont think it will work that well for me, helping a little wont make much difference. If it fixed it I would try it but even the guys that are doing it are still pushing water. I think having a flat deck and heads is more important then o-ringing the head. Now that this block has a 1.5 years of passes on it I'll probably send it back to W2W and let them feshen and square it up and I bet it will hold well enough to get in the 8s.

iB2slow, I'm in BG now for the NMCA race, if you are bored stop on by tomorrow or sunday. I'm running in the new EFI class, 9.50 index. Lot of nice cars here, but the rain kinda sucks. Didnt even get to make a pass today

Alright man I have to do some work on my big truck. What time are they running?? I live about 15 miles south of Bg and it didnt rain alot here today. Kinda off and on.

They open at 9am and run until 5 or so today and tomorrow, they do the heads up classes in the morning and true street/bracket in the afternoon.

I'm running the 9.50 index EFI class, they run with the heads up cars.
