I know they (internal gates) are fine to +700rwhp. My boost was very stable with EB2. Some have gone to 850rwhp with them.

I agree that external wastegates are the best option, but I dont think internal gates are horrible. Like Onfire said, they have been proven to 700 rhwp and more. That is fine for me, 700 is enough for my car.

And the incon turbos I have are GT30 series, and are rated to flow the same air that your APS turbos do.

The gen tt kit has already went 720's with 12lbs of boost already. This is with the smaller turbos that they intially were offering but they now have a set that is larger than those. I disagree with the hp numbers that can be achieved with integrated wastegates. If these wastegates are so obsolete then why is it that all the turbo manufacturers still offer the integrated's turbos on their sites? Just trying to get an idea of why these things are so bad.

Space requirements. That is why they are offered. You can't package a turbo, downpipe, and wastegate setup on every single car. Some have lots of room, others don't. The internal gate allows you to put turbos in places too small to house a conventional turbo setup.

Internal gates aren't too bad, there's people on here making quite a bit of power with them. However if I was going with something max effort.....nothing but an external gate would be used.

High quality external wastegates are far more reliable than internal waste gated turbos (external waste gated turbos don't have the problem that internal wastegates have with cracking the turbine housing around the swing valve seat) and have total boost control (no boost creep) across the entire rpm range. That said, it's far more expensive to package high quality external wastegates than using internal wastegated turbos.
