15psi on the rev limiter....now a mis...??
15psi on the rev limiter....now a mis...?? 5.3L 224 cam PSI dual springs, ti retainers, comp hardened pushrods, and 15psi of boost. I think my rev limiter is like 6500.
last weekend I was messing around, car took off hard, I hit a dip in the road and broke the tires loose, hit the rev limiter, it popped a few times.
Now it has a bad mis and the faint sound of some valve train ticking.
My first guess was bent pushrod. I took the covers off and everything is fine.
I started it up for a few seconds, #8 header tube was not heating up as much.
I pulled all the plugs and they were immaculate. When i put the valve covers back on I also swapped another set of coil packs just to be sure.
Now i start it the faint ticking sound is speratic. My home made alum intake amplifies the sound a lot so its hard to tell, but its not a consistent mis unless your driving at 2500 rpms, wont do it sitting in park revving it.
It is very weak has no power, unless you boost it up and it still aint all there.
There is NO smoke what so ever. Not even the faintest.
Anyone else have any issues with messing anything up like this? What might it be?
