Default Does a fluid filled harmonic balancer stop false knock readings?

Just as the title says... will a fluid filled harmonic balancer (rather than an elastomer balancer like the factory crank pulley) reduce or stop false knock readings on an FI car?

No reason it should. IIRC, they damp motion over a certain rate of acceleration, not sound, and a knock sound (or false knock sound close enough to trigger KR) has a pretty distinctive hi-freq ring.

Interesting.... I think someone on eBay was claiming that fluid filled dampers reduce false knock readings.

Removing your knock sensors will help alleviate false knock.

Tune to the AFR and trust it. And have a wideband in the car.

Yea, I know the eBay people make some wild "too good to be true" claims... that's why I checked here!
