Re: what is the proper way to increase my maf tables
To adjust the MAF table, you increase the entire table by a certain percentage, up or down.
If you increase it so much that you max out the top end, you have to rescale the latter part of the table to keep the curve... you can't let it go flat at the end.
HOWEVER... WHY would you rescale your MAF table to fix your MAF problem?
If you MAF is stock, you should leave the table alone.
Why do you think you need to change your MAF table at all?
Find the problem and fix THAT.
If you change the MAF table, you will likely just make a bad problem worse.

Re: what is the proper way to increase my maf tables
in ls1 edit you can adjust the maf fail frequency to up to 36000 or so hz. stock for you would be 11250. you can move this number up, and keep from getting the code, but it will most certainly do nothing in the way of improving your tuning..
if you are maxing the maf table you need to adjust for your boost in the rpm pe table at the rpm that your maf flatlines
OR rescale your maf externally with something like the maf translator.. Or get a custom meter made for you.
as far as stock meters go. at 11250hz you allready have the best you can get.
(best i can recall)
lt1 471g/s
truck 85mm 435g/s
01 ls5 347 g/s
stock ls1 450g/s
i will be trying a lt1 meter on my car soon as i can get ahold of one for that extra 21g/s

OK... I understand.
What he needs is an extended MAF.
It is electronically scaled to allow you to alter the MAF table to use ALL of it's range.
It may still max the frequency, but some of these ExtMaf's give you about 10 lbs more of air and are 85mm instead of 75mm.
If you can't do that, you can try modifying the table anyway, but watch for shift issues and such... I've been told that the MAF is not synchronized to the PCM table and can induce anomalies where operating conditions depend on torque calculations, etc. Just telling you what has been discussed.
Some people also use a MAFT to attempt to adjust the stock MAF's range. Do some searches on that.
There are several train of thoughts on the logic of that.
Search in not only FI section, but the PCM tuning section as well.
Good luck!

The MAF Translator also has a frequency lock built into it that will prevent that code from tripping. I am not sure how LT1's tune, but if you are tweaking the PE tables to get it to fuel at WOT, it shouldn't matter too much that the frequency is locked (on an LS1 at least).
Good Luck!
