Default Finally took it out to the track

60': 2.089
330: 5.650
1/8: 8.337
mph: 95.35
1000: 10.569
1/4: 12.391
mph: 125.33

full street form STREET tires, subs and all
yes traction was a bitch, but i wanted to see what street potentials i had on regular non drag radials before slapping those on. i have couple vids taken but dont know how to transfer them yet to cpu.
i had posted up in the boosted section now that i have a time slip

here's my video. im determined to hit 11's on street tires but i think ima just run with the bfg drs next

You have the MPH. Now you need the traction to match up the ET. Nice work.

my last run was all messed up too. car rolled and red lit... but i said f it and ran either way to see my mph's 96.68 and ended at 126.67 everything was smoother and i think i wouldve hit 11's on that run... needless to say i was pissed.. my goal was to hit 11's on street tires. this is my first time out to the track since 1997 too
bought the car new in 2002 ran nitrous and never tracked it, but so many people locally were getting on me about it so i made my debut

i so forgot what the rush was like... i may have to go back in a couple weeks

btw the temp was 89 degrees out, humidity @ 15, absolute barometer 29.80

You drop your 60ft to 1.6 and your mid 11's but I'd be pissed with anything less than 135mph with that much power. You better throw some drag radials on there and come back with a better trap speed.

nice times. My car with incons at that power would usually run your et/trap on street tires and then run mid to low 10s all day long on good tires. I know you didnt have traction probs JUST at the start but for much of the 1/8

are the bfg dr the only tires i can get to fit my 18's in a 295-35-18, reason being is these are still in the 26" range verses 315-30-18 are only 25 some inches

I thought the best approach with street tires was to do no burn out and drive around the water box to keep them dry?

Thats 10 second mph, harder launch, better tires and shifting hard should get you in the 10s. Easier said then done though Good luck wth it and have fun.

Congrats! Looks like you have a good chunk of ET left with speed-shifts and a little more tire+2step

Ditto. I'm pulling 146 mph at full weight (~3750 lb) with "only" 695 rwhp.

im not pissed, about my times... as my friends say while watching it... "why are you driving down the track" this is the first time ive actually driven the car that hard. couple weeks ago i did 200 miles of street and canyon twisties... ill be back with some drag radials on my 18's in a couple weeks.
the more i watch the vids it teaches me to focus on certain points... like it has been mentioned; launch harder and shift harder... right now i launch as if on the street and the light turned green at the intersection

There is definatly some potential for some great times. I would find some rims in the for sale section and put some m/t ET streets on them, I would think you should see 10's with a good launch and some quiker shifting.

with your power level i'd expect more mph out of it, even if you were feathering it a little bit.

Ditto. I ran my car the same way you did, left VERY soft (for fear of tire spin) and didn't go 100% WOT until late 2nd gear and still went 135, and I'm at 3900 lbs.

I'm not knocking your setup, we're damn near identical. I'd seriously consider getting some extra rims and tires as mentioned, and see how it runs on a good tire.
