wastegate effecting tune??

wastegate effecting tune?? I have a 98 camaro, procharged at 15 psi. The inlet hat fell off and dragged, ruining the wastegate so I switched from the one that came with the D1 kit originally to a Procharger Pro-Flow I got from EPP (thanks guys). Previous to this I had just gotten the car tuned with the old wastegate. When i test drove it I was keeping a eye on the AFR and it was showing way lean so I got off the boost. Would changing just the wastegate effect the tune? Either way I will be retuning cause my last clutch fried at 4700 rpm on the dyno ( 550 rwtq and climbing
