Why does a mustang dyno read so much different then dynojet. Happy with car it feels good. Just didnt understand.

for that turbo and being a rearmount on the mustang dyno thats not to bad at 7psi
the MD loads the dyno more accuratly measuring like if the car was on the street considering wind resitance and vehicle weight and junk.

@ 7psi....... wow ive seen sts cars @ 5 psi put down 410+whp with no intercooler locally on a dyno dynamics dyno.

rearmount or not, those #'s seem low to me for 7psi...def should be a little over 400rwhp.

I warned you not to get caught up in the dyno number games. I should have had him pull my dynograph up to show you my whopping 470 RWHP that lets me go mid 10's with a 3850lb car. You need to run at the track to see your MPH. No dyno I have ever seen is accurate at measuring HP, only consistant.

A 390 RWHP car is not going to pull a new 600cc CBR from a roll the way we did with everything working against us, passanger, windows down, no bumper cover on the car, pulled timing and him getting a run on us.

are you comparing non loaded dynos?
MD are tough.

best way to tell what your car is running is take it to the track and check the MPH

Hmmmm. What kind of timing are you running in boost? They do seem low IMO, but like he said...dyno numbers don't mean everything.

At 6psi through the FMIC, I'm at 465ish and 475tq running 18 degrees of timing on the dynojet.

1/8 mile track with a ridiculously awesome 60' time of 2.3xx seconds, I pulled 89 mph. I have done a couple things since...I'd be curious to go back out and see what it does now. M6 w/ street radials + turbo = non-drag strip car :(.

Ya those numbers seem good cause i have seen up to a 50rwhp loss from a mustang to a dyno jet!!! so i would just go to the track and have fun with it. sounds like you a fun street car!! good luck with it

I made 400/408 @7psi -Meth on a mustang dyno with my sts set-up
Mods are Stock lt1 engine with lt4 hotcam -t67 upgrade and the meth injection kit

no offense, but LS1 vs LT1 numbers are usually a big difference.

Like I said above Im thoroughly impressed with vehicle. Your right look at your car numbers mean nothing. Just wanted to compare and contrast what others have found. Car is running great thanks to your tune. I am very happy with your work. And yes we demolished the 600rr like nothing. ONce again Thank to ZombieSS for the tune and the vehicles first kill..

Timing is 10 from 3600 to 4800 and goes up to 13 by 6k for 7psi and it still knocks on 91 due to our 100+ temps during the day. He can only run 5psi on 91 but it has 3-4 more degrees in it.

10.1:1 compression, 91 octane and 100+ daily temps just do not get along.
Every thing in vegas is slow and makes less power.

With the weather we have right now a stock LS1 will not even trap 100mph. My stock SRT 4 traps 92 mph... weather sucks.

weather out here effects big time. Dont get me wrong the car is fast, but you can lose almost a full second in the 1/4 between east and west coast. Vegas sucks, it was 11:30 at night when we were tuning and the temp outside was 94. Makes a difference with the 100 octane, I love it.

there is no way that u pulled a 600cc cbr, i ran mid ten all day with mine, and im 100% sure ur 7psi car ddint do that, my 9psi ss can barly do it

i would look at it in 2 ways, yes the number seems low, but track times tell all, look at Zombie

my car with fmic, fuel, GT67 and 7.5psi made 472/501, but it wouldn't do shit at the track if i wanted it too, i street race :headbang:

2002/Black/SS I have no reason to lie. This is a comparisson and Im getting feedback. The tuner was driving and myself the owner was in the passenger seat as we destroyed this bike. No lies here. I wouldnt give false data for my own comparison.

Shouldnt he correct the numbers for a dynojet since he dynoed on a mustang? dont mustang dynos come out less that the dynojet???

well maybe the bike wasnt racing, im just saying ive destoyed vipers on my old 05 cbr600, it ran consitent high tens, a c6z06 couldn't pull me either

He was racing, it's just that 600 cc bikes are pretty slow. He wasn't ready for the car the 1st time, but the 2nd time he had a run on us and still go owned.


LMAO, dude, you have no idea how slow a 600cc bike is here in vegas. It's rare that I see one trap over 120mph at the track. Yes, he was racing, yes he dropped gears (I even gave him the jump), and yes we pulled him good, he hung upto about 90 mph then it was all over. Bike guys always have such huge egos, even the 600cc guys, it's fun to crush them. 90% of the 600's are high 11 sec bikes, low 11's with a good rider. Welcome to summer in Vegas, the black hole vortex that sucks up your HP.

I have only ever seen 1 600 cc bike here in vegas break into the 10's (10.8 @ 124) and it was in cooler weather with an extremely good rider, the bike was also modded extensively (geared, strapped, lowered, full race pipe, tuned, etc). A 155 RWHP 03 GSXR 1000 was trapping 133-134 mph a few weeks ago.

I guess you wouldn't believe that I have at least 10 liter bike kills (GSXRs, CBRs, R1s) to my name. That's when I'm running 15psi and 91 octane, not my race tune and 18psi.

If you guys really want to pick on his 7psi dyno number, his uncorrected was something like 365 RWHP LOL

this is alittle different and off topic, but my Blown 94 z28 A4 with no FMIC,stock heads ported, stock cam,stock crank and boltons put down 400rwhp 387rwtq on a mustang dyno and this was with the new fuel pump(walbro grr ) going bad at 5500rpm it would cut out and also my plugs were junk from being washed out. motor was solid till the dyno shop had it and motor blew up shortly after. thought i would share my numbers and i was running 7psi.
