I tuned the car and the night we tuned it ran great and a few days later. Without scanning it's just a guessing game.

A dead O2 sensor will nuke a tune if the LTFTs go +30 when going WOT. It could be many different things.

Just talked to him. Sounds like I have too much fuel in the low range, wideband is bottoming out. I added fuel to his low range after to tune because he had not wrapped his exhaust yet and I didn't want it leaning out. I also didn't know how much sooner it would spool.

We are going to fix it this week.

I dunno about the tune, but I drove my car in a rainstorm, it went fine. I was thinking...no problem. The next day it started fine, ran fine, as soon as I floored it, it was like someone shut the key off, I let off and it fired up and ran fine....until I floored it again. Went on for like 5 miles, I just assumed it was water hitting the MAF. Cleared up and hasn't done it since I moved the air filter.

Where you move air filter to?

I moved the air filter directly onto the turbo inlet. Less water sprays there. Then made a crossover pipe for the exhaust so I have two tailpipes again.

its probably something simple, Mine did the same thing, As I was rolling in 2nd oe 3rd like 2700-3k rpm and nail it hard it was sucking in the silicone elbow that connects to the tb, so I put a medal elbow in problem solved.

Had the same symptoms with my 67.... only on hard pulls from 2-3 gear... it was fuel. Something that would cause it to go lean till I backed off the gas... 98% of the time it was good... generally also only happened when I had been driving it a bit too (Hot)

interesting, kind of like an H pipe.

if you route the wastegate into the exhaust as well it really cleans up the sound IMO.

unless your a big fan of the shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh noise

Pics look good. How does that keep water from getting into the pipes though? Without the sock or the filter shield, you'll still get a lot of spray in that area. Do you just not drive it in the rain?

I like the open wastegate as well. The shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh noise makes me happy in my pants ...

I drive in the rain all the time, since I moved the air filter to the turbo, no more stumble, I don't even need the shield anymore

Maybe just me and the view of the pic, but that filter element looks like the metal webbing is rusting, looks like it has seen quite a bit of water. Scary to me, but if your not having problems.

The filter still gets wet I am sure, but it was getting more water before because the car used to stumble in the rain. Now I drive in downpours and the car runs fine. I will be making a small shield for it...again...when I get some time
