Ii'm sure he locked the converter, that pye3400 is a nice tight converter.

locking the converter keeps it from downshifting?

Well, to aswer a few questions...

1. I reprogram the shift points when I dyno so that it doesn't kick down.

2. The converter is also programed to NOT lockup, I killed a tranny trying to lock the converter for low rpm punches. I'll never dyno locked. Also when George was rolling onto the throttle pretty slow to try and keep the tires from smoking on the dyno... I was actually sitting in the trunk!

3. I had a delay cause my new fuel system wasn't upto task, Thats all taken care of now.

4. Raceweight is most likely around 3500#.

5. As far as the tranny goes, my builder and I are trying to find the limits of the modified 4L60e. So it stays as long as it keeps working!

Are you tuning SD? I thought I read that you had Megasquirt for the fueling aspect but don't know if you're still using it.

I am now running an Accel DFI box for fueling. Although the Megasquirt is a great box...

As for the mods, see above they are prety well covered. The Turbo is a new Turbonetics unit, a F-1 Midframe. The compressor is a 82mm High Pressure wheel inside a Y2K compressor cover. The exhaust side is a T-4 Flange, 1.01 AR housing, with a 4" Vband discharge.
