What checks should I run for the 1st fire?
Brand new D1SC and new fuel system and new gauges.
I've already tested the intank pump and it works. Now what I wanted to know is what do you guys suggest for me to do to test or check before taking her for a spin.
Here are my thoughts and tell me what you think.
1st fire) Remove rubber tube between ATI air intake plenum and the MAF Sensor. Remove vacuum tube from the FPR(so it wont be boost referenced) and the ATI surge valve(so it will stay sealed). Procharger is hooked up and running. Mount fuel rails with stock injectors and stock programming. This step allows me to check two things. 1) As far as the engine and PCM knows the only thing that has changed is the pump and FPR. Since it's not boost/vacuum referenced the fuel pressure should be constant. Therefore I can dial it in to 60 psi before boost/vacuum refencing. 2) I did so much grinding that I'm afraid I got metal dust in the procharger tubes. So if I cover the MAF the procharger should clean itself out and not blow any crap into the intake.
2nd fire) Put in the 42# injectors in. Hook up the vacuum lines to the FPR and surge valve. Reconnect ATI intake plenum to the MAF. Reprogram PCM with new injector settings(IFR is flat value, 5.51 across the board). Then ATAP to see how the car is idling. Make sure Ltrms, Fuel Pressure, Knock retard, and timing are all in check.
Then it's time for a test drive. What do you guys think? Am I missing anything?
Your input is always much appreciated. Thanks guys.
Mike
While you're mucking with the program you might want to take timing out right away but that is not biggie.
I think the biggest issue is keying on the fuel system for the first time, good idea to have a helper key while you check for leaks at the front and the back. My fpr install leaked quite a bit.
Good luck with it! My car is coming off the stands this weekend as well
You tweo have both been really helpful throughout this whole process.
The Hawk is done, it's just sitting in the garage waiting for the fuel rails to come in. Unfortunately Speed Inc. sent me some messed up rails the first time and now they are having difficulties getting a good set out to me. I'm praying they can get them here before Hot Rod week in Ocean City. Cause I'm supposed to be leaving Wednesday!

I did a lot of research before slapping this supercharger on. The one thing I seemed to pick up on is the guys that tend to go overboard on the fueling are the ones that run the longest on the stock block. So even though the fueling setup was a pain to learn, I think I built a pretty strong setup. Thanks in no short part to many of the suggestions you guys have made.
I have a bunch of pics that I want to put up. But unfortunately my web provider is being a little ho right now and won't let me up load them. I'll jump on their **** on Monday and hopefully get you guys some pics. Some of the workarounds I came up with came out pretty darn good.
I'm just dying to get those rails in and fire this baby up!

I'll post up again soon and update you guys.
Mike
p.s. Man that polished Procharger looks sexy as all hell!
Take a look:

I'm praying the fuel rails get here before Hot Rod week! Let me know what you guys think of the install job I did.
Later,
Mike
