Default Methanol Injection

I just purchased a boosted cobra that is equipped with methanol injection. The instructions that come with the kit tell me to run windshield washer fluid with atleast 50% methanol. I went down to the local parts store and I tried to find one with the correct mixture. One problem. None of the bottles contained the listing for the amount of methanol that was found in each bottle. If any of you are running methanol injection which windshield washer fluid are you guys using?

-Thanks

Buy some real methanol...You can get it online or a number of local fuel distributors/wholesalers will carry it. Problem with WW washer fluid is that you don't know what else you are getting in there...which can play havoc with your car/tune if the mix is way off from what your car is tuned on. Some guys will say its ok, but hey why risk your car/motor just to save some effort or a few $'s.

I run the -20* Polar brand, blue stuff in mine. In the last 1 1/2 years I've put probable 20+ gallons though it and not one problem. Works GREAT!

Purple WWF from Advance Auto is 33% Meth; add four yellow bottles of Heat (fuel line antifreeze - 99.9% Meth) and this will make your 50/50 mix - I've had no problem or issues w/ this but I do conceed (as one other person stated) that the "other stuff" is a factor to consider...

For you meth guys, how long does a mixed tank of that stuff usually last you? I am still debating getting a STS kit, probably will, and if I should use the meth? Just don't want to be filling it all of the time?????

Just buy real meth and cut it with water. Washer fuid has cleaning detergents in it that I would not want running through my motor. You can buy a 55 gallon drum of pure meth for like 160 bucks so for me its not worth the risk of "guessing" and "hoping" that the factory got the correct mixture on the day your bottle was made.

What kit is it? That may help us suggest something else. But, pure meth is the way to go.
