depends on how much money you have to spend.... figure out how much u think it will cost you to turbo ur car, then add 50% to that... and thats how much it will really cost you when its all said and done...
i'm starting to wish i had gone stroker, but theres no turning back now... my car has been under teh knife for almost 4 months, and its WAY over budget

Hell eveyday someone make a thread about how much a stock bottom end will hold. Boost the crap out of it and let everyone know. What do you have to lose? When is come to FI its just $$$$ anyway. It never ends. Trust me I know.

i boosted my motor and blew it up in a short period of time. Fifth gear 160 3:73's. Now i will have a stroker to and will also be broke, and happy. You will blow up your motor eventually with FI on a stock bottom end eventually unless you just want to hit it on the dyno now and then and brag about #'s. The time it take's depends upon if your motor was built on a monday or not. My motor was tuned safe as hell by someone I would consider an expert. Lighting the tires in third is pretty cool.

Everytime I think I've got the FI budget nailed, something kicks me in the nuts. If you start it you have to be dedicated. Otherwise, a half finished kit will end up in the for sale section.

i've had this dilemma myself. it'll be interesting to see what kind of different answers and reasonings appear on this thread. something tells me that a stroker actually has a point where the project is finished, and that FI is never ending, a bottomless money pit. either way...i don't like running 13s haha.

Do it right the first time. looking back I should have just banked the money I spent with nitrous. by now I could have a forged motor and be supercharged(used kit). I was hitting the juice every chance I got(racing a lot). got greedy and parts failed. now I have to start from the ground up with a whole new motor. I knew what I was getting into but its a lot easier on the wallet to plan out your goals and setup. I rushed, goofed up and paying for my mistakes.
