Am I missing anything in this turbo setup?
I'm trying to piece together a turbo setup here and trying to figure out costs. I am going to build my own headers/exhaust/intake if I go through with the setup.
Turbo Setup
Motor
Is there anything DRASTIC that I am omitting besides the fuel system and drivetrain? Regarding fueling, I think 60# injectors and dual walbro 255s should feed it nicely right?
Do my headers NEED to be stainless steel? How long would one anticipate that mild steel headers would last?
In the meantime, if it is working, I will do some searches. Thanks guys
Turbo Setup
- T-76
- Tial 44mm Wastegate
- Tial 50mm BOV
- Electronic 15 psi Boost Controller from ststurbo
- Intercooler 32X12X4
- 3" piping for intercooler tubing
- Silicone couplers (any other alternatives here?)
- header Flanges
- 1 3/4" tubing for headers
- T4 flange
- 4" vband for the outlet of the turbo
- Piping for the downpipe and crossover
Motor
- stock crank
- Forged Dished Pistons
- Scat Hbeam rods
- Federal main, rod, cam bearings
- Main stud kit
- Machine work (hone the bores and mains? is that all I need in machine work)
- arp head studs
- ls6 oil pump
- ls1 timing chain
- pushrods
- gm gaskets
- turbo cam
- patriot springs (stock heads for now till I can get some money)

turbo oil feed line and fittings
turbo oil drain line and fittings
clamps for the silicone couplers (could use v bands here, more $)
a couple v band clamp kits at least for the hot side (you don't want to try to deal with a one piece hot side
turbo outlet is not 4"
air filter, possible clamps, pipe, couplers for this as well
02 sensor fitting(s)
i would get an ls2 chain minimum
you also omitted tuning and instrumentation, not to mention drivetrain
