Default STS GT76 vs GT76 Turbo

Had an experience today and I'm throwing it out there. I'm upgrading my STS gt67 turbo to a TC76 unit. STS claims I should go with their turbo because the impeller design is different so it will spool faster than a turbo designed for a front mount application. The only place I've seen this talked about is the STS website I haven't seen this anywhere else to include here.

I'm getting a TC76 Turbo from a sponsor here and you really can't beat the price. I was told if I send my STS GT67 back to STS they would credit me and the new STS GT76 turbo with military discount would only be 2150.00

Is someone trying to sell me snake oil? Thoughts?

Before someone starts (you always do) I understand a front mount is more efficient, will make more power and have less lag.

WOW that is a rediculous price. im guessing your getting yours from a sponsor for around $1200? just a guess im not sure. plus you could see your 67 on here for $500+, and they want that much. All i have to say is stick with what your doing, they are retarded. aside from that, theirs is probably just a smaller wheel or a tighter A/R housing, so big deal, when you order it you can request a diff housing. Plus, i think the faster spooling (supposed) could be taken care of with the $1000 you'll have saved in the first place.

Snake oil BS . Nothing special about their turbos except the price tag . Can't believe people are getting took on those prices.....geez. Standard 67mm / P-trim. Nothing more nothing less...... A TC76 will rape that unit and so would a properly sized TC67 with a good turbine wheel.

Listen to this man and Jose.......FI will not steer you wrong and they know their stuff.

Rick I didnt even pay that much for my ST80 which is far superior to that turbo.

There is only one place imo to buy turbo's from now on and its Forcedinductions

Something's not right. I bought my 76 straight from STS, and it was about $1200. Something doesn't sound right. And, I didn't trade my old 60 trim for that. I've heard nothing but good things about Jose, even though I've never done business with him (yet)...so you should be in good shape there.

maybe $1200 for an upgrade. I've called also for a new gt76. $2k bucks.

upgrade from the 60-1 was $1200 when your're buying the kit.
