Finally got the Procharger to the track...
R/T: 0.557
60: 1.923
330: 5.245
1/8: 7.922
MPH: 93.39
1000:10.196
1/4: 12.110
MPH: 118.07
That was the only complete run I got in. The next run I thought I would be more aggressive with the burnout and try an all out run. I launched @ 4000 again and BOGGED big time and just at the top of 2nd at about 6500 I suddenly lost my boost (hose blew off the compressor outlet).
I fixed the hose and tried again. This time I launched @ 5000 because of the bog before and ended up spinning through 1st again and to top it off the damn outlet hose blew off again at the top of 2nd.
I was so digusted that I just packed it up and went home and ordered some constant torque t-bolt clamps. As far as the launch is concerened, I can live with the fact that I'm a crappy driver but I did expect to get into the 11's. Also, my pre-supercharger MPH was in the 112's so I did all that work to gain just 6 MPH and 0.6 secs!
Sorry but I just had to vent, Ken
. I really don't have anyplace to practice away from the track and with only 3-5 runs each trip to the track it's been tough for me to learn. I am running 26x10.5x16 ET streets on 16" takeoffs in back and F1's up front. If I ever learn to launch any better I'll treat myself to some real wheels (15" Bogarts with skinnies up front) but for now it would just be a waste of money.-Ken
