PCV Hose Routing with ATI

PCV Hose Routing with ATI Why does ATI have you run the PCV inlet vent connection (forward passenger valve cover connection) to the air inlet hat? This way it is pulling air out of the crankcase! The passenger side valve cover's forward connection is supposed to be pulling air fresh air in and the rear passenger and driver connection take air out to the PCV valve. With their setup all 3 connections are pulling air out of the crankcase. Any explanations or recommended alternative setups? Or does everyone run it the way they set it up?

Re: PCV Hose Routing with ATI I don't know, but the emissions facility made sure it was hooked up that way. I haven't unhooked it yet. I don't really want it hooked up. I will unhook my surge to the inlet elbow too, just letting it vent to atmosphere.

Re: PCV Hose Routing with ATI Perhaps its supposed to be like a crank case evac system. There are mixed opinions on it to this day. Some claim it helps the rings seal. Some say you can use lighter grade rings for less friction with an evac system. WHo knows.. why don't some one email them?

Re: PCV Hose Routing with ATI That is what the OEM PCV system does, pull form the crankcase at vacuum. I would assume that it is worse to put the engine in a positive state, as it would be difficult to evacuate the caes when under boost situations. It does seem the air cleaner would be under more vacuum, and the easiest way to relieve crankcase pressure.
