I have a 3" downpipe goes under the k-member to a cut-out and then connects to 3" piping to a loudmouth catback. Only restriction is a flatened section of pipe under the k-member. But I doubt that is a issue cause I used to run a open downpipe that was only 1' long and the problem was there then.

The other thing that has me stumped is I am running a air fuel of 10.8 to 1 right now and the plugs look brand new. I put new plugs in it and made some blasts and the plugs came out looking off the shelf new. Only a little discoloration on the ground strap. With it running that rich there should be evidence on the plugs. Not sure if this is too relevant but I thought it was worth mentioning.

that usually indicates youre not firing the plugs.that means WAY more to me than some big thing about backpressure.

Ever seen this before? I ohm my wires and they were fine and new plugs gapped at .035. Anything else I could check?

We have good and bad news. Bad news 1st. We performed a exhaust pressure test and we only have 30psi so backpressure is not a issue. Good news is while doing the test I did it at varying pressures with 15psi being the final and while spooling it up at 50mph the car decided to wake up. It lit the tires up,shifted, and tached that gear too. The car shot sideways almost into oncoming traffic. Totally caught us off guard! I have spooled this thing 100 times and never did it come alive until then. It felt awesome. I have since taken it out and it is still screwed up. I have moved the A/F all over with no change. I just can't see it being the coils when #1 it is rich and #2 it is not missing or back-firing.

Guess I should go after the coils next. This is just f---ken fustrating and is really pissing me off. Of course I wasn't data logging when it came to life. I am going to double check the intake track and then I guess move on to testing coils and such. Any other suggestions in light of the new info? I will keep testing and keep you guys posted.

Maybe you've mentioned it before, but are you running a MAF or on an SD tune?

Yeah I am reading off a wideband.

I am leaning toward a ignition problem too. I am being told to mess with the dwell settings so I will try that but I feel it is a wiring issue because I had this kit on my stock motor with no problems. I am trying to get in touch w/ a buddy that can get me wiring diagrams from Alldata.
