Sounds like compressor surging to me. As I understand it, that can be fairly abusive on the bearings in the centre section. When I was running a VNT turbo it was doing that pretty bad - due to the extremely fast spool time, I ended up cutting some springs out of my BOV to compensate. Just something to consider. Need to add a good highway run - on a dry day of course
