Hit 7.5 psi tonight!!!
With all the bugs orked out and several almost WOT test runs with ATAP running I got the courage up to hit it just one time before dyno tuning.
7.5 psi is one hell of a feeling
This went beyond a sling shot feeling. I'm not gonna go the gay "warp speed" star trek route... well OK I am gonna go that route cause there's no better way to describe what that boost kicking in feels like
I can't even imagine how big the smile gets on you guys pushing >10 psi!The best part is not a trace of Knock. The timing tables I'm using now are very conservative and seem to be working fine on 93 octane.
I still have a few things to tweak on this new setup, but tonight I really felt the car come together for the first time. The fact that all this was built with my own two hands makes the feeling sooooo much sweeter!
I can't thank you guys enough for all your technical advise and support.
what a night!
Mike
And if you do feel like your getting used to it crive the beater for a few weeks straight, then it'll be warp speed all over again.

I've had several people say, "why don't you put a smaller pulley on?" Well, I like my motor running and in one piece. 9 lbs on stock internals is as high as I want to go.
The Vortech tuning is actually pretty good. A/F was great on the dyno and I have never heard detonation.
Just be a little careful and keep your oil clean and then have fun wasting the competition.

I can't wait to hit warp speed again, the little beater I have is fun, but I have a " NEED FOR SPEED "
Waiting on a call, then it's time to have fun again, now where is one of those silly snakes, a Slobra or Vipper
It used to seem so fast to me, but after that boost, going back N/A was just terrible. I took it home after six miles and said, "Nope, can't do it". BORING!
