Will this be a good setup?
Here is it's setup:
-LS6 Block
-Polished GM Crank
-Probe Ultralight 6.125" Forged I beam Rods-Doweled-ARP 7/16 Rod bolts
-Ross 3.905 Forged Pistons 4cc Reliefs
-Diamond Rings Gapped @ .029 and .032
-King Alecular Rod Bearings
-Clevite 3/4 Groove Main Bearings
-Clevite Cam Bearings
I'm eventually going to be adding FI to it. The cam & heads I have in my car right now I'm thinking about re-using. Comp Cams 224/228 .581 about 113 or 114 LSA. CNC ported 241 heads. I'm not sure what rockers are in there, or springs for that matter. I am going to buy new lifters. Possibly even buy a different, used cam that will suit my application better. If I get a different cam, I'll probably end up getting different rockers & springs (of course).
My question is, what do you think about boost for this shortblock and re-using my heads & cam? I might have the heads decked when it's all apart. What kind of compression would I be looking at? I have no idea what size head gasket is being used right now, but going thicker will help for boost application correct?
Everything else looks good, I've got brand new comp lifters and a turbo cam for sale if you do buy this motor.
