Default Couple FI questions.....

Well I was about to purchase an sts kit, but now Im kinda second guessing it. I keep seeing ALOT of threads with problems with it and I dont want alot of problems....I want to set it and forget it...I dont mind maintenance every now and then but I dont want to be fixin **** daily....this will be my DD car too.

BTW I can get the sts kit for $1770 shipped...if I can piece together a procharger setup for this I would rather go that route. I can get a H/U for about a grand...I have NO IDEA what all the other parts run..ANY IDEAS? just the procharger pieces minus the intercooler set up.

Which would you guys go with? I would like some input from those who have the setup. BTW My goal is 600whp MAX

PLEASE NO STS/PROCHARGER BASHERS!!! DO NOT POST UNLESS YOU HAVE 1ST HAND KNOWLEDGE WITH ONE OF THE TWO!!!!

The problems that most STS guys are having are either oil or PCV. Almost in any FI situation you want to upgrade the PCV so that will take care of that and the oil issue is a hit and miss with some owners. The only problem I have ever had besides PCV is a connection on the oil pump came loose but that was due to me not crimping a connection. My STS is a DD and it's been running like a champ for well over 1.5 yrs.

On just about any vehicle with FI your going to have some type of issue but you just have to deal with them as they come. If everything if installed correctly and you make the necessary adjustments that many of us STS guys post you'll be in good shape.

It looks like the only things you had to modify was some of the piping....thats not a big deal for me. I have a buddy who works for an exhaust shop and can hook me up by fixing the low hanging pipes.
