fuel trim # with ATI Can someone explain this to me my car is throwing out code 171 & 174 under normal driving with the belt on my ps1c #5 on it well I hooked a scan tool to it yesterday with the belt on the codes say it lean on all 4 sensors so here is some info on fuel trim with the belt and codes tripped short term trim 1 16.4, trim 2 17.9 long term 25. and trim2 21. timing advance 41.dg this is all at 2634 rpm so if 0.0 is the ideal a/f and in the+side is rich how is it running lean I'm new to all this so I'm learnig bear with me please I have some other stuff here like throttle position air flow rate load value well thanks

Re: fuel trim # with ATI Positve ltrims mean the pcm is ADDING fuel because the reference tables are too LEAN. Sounds Like at the minimum you gonna need something like a maft, unless you already have ls1edit or some other programming source.

Re: fuel trim # with ATI Its safe so long as it doesn't stay at 25%. If it stays there you don't know if it's just lean enough that 25% can fix it or if it needs more. I'd take the belt off (just loop it over the headunit) just so you won't be tempted or accidently give it too much pedal.
