Bad heat soaking on upper intake piping
Bad heat soaking on upper intake piping Anyone know what would be good to wrap the upper intake pipe on my OFI kit to keep some of the heat out of it? Guess it needs to be reflective type material. Haven't seen anything yet that looks like it will work very well. Header wrap would just hold heat in the intake piping I would think. Turbo sits right below it and it gets hot as ****!

I've thought of these but I noticed after a good run my piping is cool to the touch - I just think when the bypass closes the entire plumbing gets cooled pretty quickly. I can see in my logs that the IAT drops.

Thanks I will check them out. After a run spraying meth you can touch the pipes but after idling for a bit or slow driving you cant even hold your hand on it!
Think I will try wrapping it with header wrap and then covering that with the heat reflective tape. See what happens
