Whipple is on, no boost, 10lbs vac. Help!!! I have a 2002 Sierra 6.0L and just installed a Whipple. The boost gauge is reading 10lbs vac at cruising speed, 5lbs boost if I stomp it. I am also getting O2 sensor codes and MAF codes on my Predator but my whipple dash light isn't flashing any codes. What do I do?
Re: Whipple is on, no boost, 10lbs vac. Help!!! You should register vacuume at cruise. There is a boost valve that opens to vent boost at idle. Look under you SC you will see this black round thing under the passenger side of it - that is the valve. The tube just vents it back into the back of the SC housing. Modern SC do this nowdays to increase fuel milage. i.e. no boost, no need for additional fuel. When you step on it, you should immediately see boost with the Whipple like you sai, so this is good. As far as the codes...check you wiring connections to the PCM. What are the O2 and MAF codes. Did you ever check to see if the MAF wires looked fine?
Re: Whipple is on, no boost, 10lbs vac. Help!!! I'm told that my "pressure lines" are bad. The guy who installed it used fuel lines instead of pressure lines. Where do I get new ones from?
