Quieting a bypass valve??
In my continuous search for the perfect sleeper, I am trying to find a way to hush the airflow coming out of my procharger bypass valve. The K&N airfilter was a casualty a few months back when the whole assembly blew off the bypass valve, and as luck would have it.......I ran over it...twice! once with the front tire and then again with the back...Lol. That setup wasnt very quiet either so I am looking for other alternatives.
Wondering if there is any small (really small) flow thru mufflers that might work?

I was thinking about that, not sure if the higher inlet temps to the SC would have a detrimental effect downstream or not.
I am gonna play around with some local hardware store goodies this afternooon to see if I can get the effect I am looking for....simply routing a hose back to the exhaust area should for the most part kill all sound from this area.....we shall see.

Issue solved, went to the local hardware store and picked up some nylon reinforced plastic tubing. routed the discharge from the bypass valve to the center of the car just below the radiator......the results were better than hoped for. no more whoshing noise in my Left front fender at all!
