Default Been really thinking about buying a turbo kit...

Any suggestions? Rear-mount? What size turbo? I'm leaning more towards rear-mount because I really don't wanna go through the hassle of putting on headers again, but if a front-mount turbo will be better then I would go with it. Now I have a friend that's selling a 63mm with a .58 A/R hot side. He would sell it to me cheap, but before I buy it I wanna know if it would be a good size turbo for my car.

Well the STS kit comes with a 60-1 .81 A/R Garret turbo, so im not sure if the 63 MM will work? Front mount is def better, but the install is much more involved. Are you going all out race car or just a nice, powerful street car? If street car I would say the sts will work but id go DS1C package from EPP if I were in the same position.

i have a dyno and race proven kit im selling. its a stainless front mount with a 76gts turbo. made 750whp on 14psi and was tuned very rich. trapped over 141mph on the same rich street tune. everything is in great shape. let me know if youre interested. all you will need is a fuel pump, injectors, and a tune.

^ Knows what he's talking about. Proven... if the price is right, the 76gts is a great turbo for a front mount. Naturally, you won't want to run 14psi on a stocker, but shoot, even 8psi will pump 500+rwhp and make a GRIP of torque.

I'm not looking to push that much right now. Like 5lbs now, then I would replace some internals then boost it up more.

this setup can run low boost just fine. as good as anything else out there. its the perfect size turbo for stock cubes. it will spool up FAST, and make damn good power if you want to turn it up. im working on your pm now
