so lets say
I have always wondered what kind of power could be made using reasonably priced parts. (Eagle, stock heads, etc ) I have always wanted to have endless supplies of cash to do some head to head testing on expensive parts (IE Callies, Oliver, etc) Vs the China stuff.
There has to be someone out there that has done a 6.0L block, eagle parts and ported 317's and a moderate cam, with boost. Am I nuts thinking that you could make 1300-1400 Hp with that combo????
Good Info for us Little E, egh?

1132rwhp...... 26 psi S88 Turbo.
The speed Inc block will do it with the right FI kit.
I did it with a 6.0L block
Stock GM LS1 crank
Eagle H-Beam Rods $400
Diamond -15cc Dish Pistons $600
Diamond Pro Select 1.5mm Rings
Coated Piston Skirts $160
Ported 6.0L Heads Valve Job by Best Machine $1200 from Patriot + $700 for new valve job
Comp Custom Ground Turbo Cam 224/222 .581/.581 114+2 $400
Comp R Lifters $200
Chromoly Pushrods 7.450 $115
ARP L19 Rod Bolts, ARP Main Studs and Head Studs $100+$200+$230
GM 6.0L MLS Head Gaskets $65
Melling High Volume Oil Pump $140+ $100 Machining
Rollmaster Roller Timing Chain $80
+$1000-1500 average price for machining and assembly.
+$500 for Misc stuff.
Then add your turbo kit, awsome fuel sysytem (dont skimp there I have over $3500 in the fuel system) drivetrain parts that can take the power, and tuning....................
It can be done with cheaper parts, bu they are still going to add up to alot of $$ in the end also.
On a side not my stock crank was starting to flex a lil.. and that might have been because it was cut a lil for the last time my motor was built.....
Im going with a forged crank this time...
