The radiator and A/C would not be an issue for me, but I know most want to keep all that and have an 8 sec DD at the same time..

That's everyones dream. It is attainable? Hell yes. It's also expensive and time consuming.

It is easier to build a 8 second race car than it is to build a 9 second street car with all the creature comforts. Its cheaper too.

Not to much to ask for just difficult to do and keep all the accesories. The DP is probably one of the harder things to do above the K-member and either your Alt or A/C is in the way, if not the DP then the manifolds.

Dam expensive to do, I can attest for that, I'm approacing 20K now and not quite done yet . That doesn't even include the TH400 I already had, 12 bolt, DS and other goodies.

Update.

I bought a 99 Z28 Roller. Hard Top original 6 spd car. Need a little body work, bu7t I got it cheap.

I got a Stock LS1 long block with the roller. Also cheap.

As of right now the plan is to finish the mock up of the redesigned hot parts I am going to offer. The it is one to building the car around the inhouse and customer builds.

The car is gonna recive the following:
-Stock Long Block
-Solid trans of some sort.
-Decent fuel system
-And of course my turbo setup.

I am gonna see what the stock long block and my turbo setup will do. Pretty much dyno and run it till it blows. I am not in a huge hurry on the car as I have enough going on at the shop to keep me busy. The hot parts should be available first of the year 08. I am waitng on more steel to arrive right now.

Sounds good Josh, I don't think you will have an issue blowing the stock block with that setup .

I bought a set of -26cc dish pistons from a member here. I may wait around and tear into the Long Block and buy a set of 6.125 rods and put the short block together. Should yeild around 8.4: with 64cc heads. I am looking to make this shop car more of a budget turbo street car (as much as it can be), where as my 2000 Z28 was set up for the track. I proved with a built engine the setup would support well over 750rwhp and rwtq with the TC76MPS. I love that turbo. I am setting the new hot parts up to fit anywhere from the TC series up to the ST and SX series of turbos.

I plan to sell hot parts setup, which will consist of the Charge pipe with a T4 flange, Narrow Band 02 bungs, 38mm WG flange, and a 3 inch down pipe with a 4 inch DP option. I am looking to keep the price around $1200 + shipping.

I am also looking into doing some parts sales in the near future. I have a line on QA1 products. I am looking to do a GP on those soon.

I am still waiting on the C6 manifolds for the A/C setup. Keeping the A/C wont be a problem if you are willing to go to the new BMR Turbo k-member. There is plent of room for big DP's and keeping the A/C.

How much money do you want to spend and what how far are you willing to relocate to make it fit?

The TC76MPS setup on my 370 made over 750rwhp and went 9.80's in the 1/4 at over 141mph. Went 6.09 @ 114 in the 1/8. All on 325 DRs and 15 lbs of boost.

The sky is the limit.

For that kind of power you will need an S91.
