Well agree it could cost money but 20,000 budget should do it not 100,000.
APS twin kit can and has already hit those power levels and they are running a 346 forged up engine. A 370 iron block forged with stock crank can handle that power for about 3500 short block. You can get those great l92 head and l76 intake for a few grand.Turbo cam type grinds are pretty cheap. Trans you can go to 400 if you are on a budget.480le is another option and likely have to beef up either tranny some. Clutch you will need a good one of course. Likely twin or triple disc. Rear end 12 bolt, 9 inch or dana are three options.3000 there. And tuning hptuners works prettty good with its speed density options. Fuel system for another couple thousand.

Then you can run the thing at lower boost levels if you go with a 370 or 402/408 and crank it up for occasional fun. Don't expect all that much traction and you will likely need to run nitto drag radials or something like et street radials all the time if you want to have any change of hooking up in the lower gears..talking like 1,2,3...

Auto you will need a good stall of course.

So from the above like said a budget of 20,000 should do it if you do the work yourself.
Might go higher if you start paying out shops at high labor rates or give them blank cheque.

If you don't want to go this crazy their are guys running the sts , aps or procharger kits on pretty much stock engines getting 500rwhp or around 600 engine. That is still a lot of power for any street car.I also would not expect much breakgage if you are not tracking the car and run it mostly on the street. Add to the list a good alc injection system so you can run good airfuel ratio and decent timing and boost on pump gas.And of course some good gauges, wideband monitor ,boost controller.

i calculate right @ 30k not including the car to get all of the components needed.

engine, controls, fi system, drivetrain, transmission, fuel, suspension frame & safety

fancy wheels/paint/interior etc. also not included, you may or may not need additional $ to get these parts installed or tuned

buy proven strong components, keep a close eye on things, keep oil changed regularly an eye on spark plug condition as well as cooling system, belts wires etc.

even when things are totally fine with my car i still pop the hood at least once a week and just stare for anything to be wrong.. most times i do find something to fiddle with

yes you are asking for a lot at once. i did it all at once this spring because i had done it one time before that spanned 6 years.
