Default Using E85 and Methanol Injection?

Would there be any advantages of using Methanol Injection on a E85 car? I have decided to have my car tuned on E85, and I already have a Alkycontrol meth kit, so I am wondering if using the meth will have any benefits.

Um. . . doesn't E85 have alot of Ethanol in it? Like 85%? And Ethanol has very similar characteristics to Methanol?

The only advantage would be if you need more fuel than your injectors can provide.

I was planning on running e85 and meth as well but after doing alot of research you really dont benefit from meth much when running e85. With 93 and meth octane level is about 104, which is right were e85 is.

I'm using meth injection with e-85. It helps when inj duty cycle gets up there, and it still cools the intake charge. Keeping my IAT's in the 60-80 degree range makes me feel a little better.

that would be my thoughts! most guys add meth to help keep intake temos down. the added bomus of a little extra octane is just a plus. the same gose for a car if its tuned on pump fuel or E85!

dont guys use meth even on race fuel engines??? whats the octane of methanol??

Chris.

I did a search on google, and got very misleading information on the octane rating of methanol. Some had it as low as 100, and one website had it at 135. Anyone know?
