Default Daily drivers w/600+ rwhp

Wondering if there are any true "daily drivers" with forced induction and a minimum of 600 rwhp and if they have had any reliability issues. I just wonder if you can truely drive one with that much power for a couple years without any problems.

i put almost 10k miles on mine this year and it only left me stranded when the fuel pump went out, otherwise i love every minute of it and it gets mid 20's MPG on the highway.

I am not at the 600 rwhp level but I do say that you will break ****. You will not drive around for a few years without problems. And yes mine is a daily driver.

Mine's a DD and have been in-n-out of shops but that was not due to set-up or stress on drive train and systems but rather due to a poor decision in who I used to do the install.

Spoolin, sounds like we have nearly identical setups. Journal or ball-bearing turbo?

Yes I have problems with mine. Just recently, the alternator went out, power steering pump and resevoir both had to be replaced because of leaks, rear differential is leaking, and I broke off a compression clamp on my exhaust.

The new list of problems that i never suspect never cease to surprise me

The good news is, once you have 600+ you will find the weak links

I drive mine every day it doesn't rain or snow... (when its running LOL) For the most part its pretty trouble free. Once I get the tune nailed down, it should be reliable.

I drive mine at least a couple times week and its been running good. Only problem recently was it threw the belt and blew off some intercooler pipes but those were easy fixes. I made 630.

I made 757 and could DD mine if I wanted. My fuel pump quit once (defective), otherwise its never broke on me. Granted I have relatively few miles but I don't see what would break aside from normal wear and tear, assuming you had the entire car built to handle the power you're making, i.e. the trans, rear, etc.

700 hp on pump... My BOV is dying on me but that's from a poor buying decision...

Also, I've had to replace my rear main seal, and it's going again on me.

Holy crap man... what kind of numbers did you make?

And Dave Childress drove his car everyday from what I understand. If rumors are correct, it was his only car for a while. He made 850whp on his 93+Meth setup. Then he made 1000whp on C16!

Also, Nasta TA drove his 9.2 @ 150 F Body over 200 miles a week. I think he ended up making over 1100whp on his race gas tune. Not sure what he made on pump. But probably along the lines of 700whp.

Why would you want to daily drive a 600hp car? I understand its cool and they are fun to drive but if you have enough money to get to 600hp I'm sure you can afford something nice to drive to work and back.

Once you get used to that kind of power, it's kind of hard to go back. I used to drive the SS about half the time (it was only about 550rwhp). After the camaro went down I started putting some more mods on the neon just so it wouldn't be so slow. Now it's faster than the SS was N/A w/cam, headers, etc.. When I get back to the track it should be in the mid 12s @ about 113mph. I am totally missing the camaro, but can't do anything about it right now. If I had the money, I would DD a 600+ hp car and the neon would be for when it was down.

My 600rwhp car behaves just like stock. Why not daily drive it?
That's the beauty of a forced induction car. They can be very
mild at part throttle.
