Default I wanna go Fast(er)!

ok, i'm starting a new project and evidently i've got the speed bug in a bad way. old setup was 383 LT1 w/ 76GTS. ended up w/ a best this year of a 6.59 @104 at the local short track with a race weight of approx. 3750. Since then, i've bought a 95 hardtop formula w/ manual windows that i've gutted, tubbed, and caged. this is going to be an all out true ten five car. my question is, what motor/turbo combination is going to give me the best results. class rules limit me to 355ci and 91.5mm turbo, so that looks like what i'm going to try. i'm planning on ditching the LT1 and going to a built SBC. which turbo manufacturer would be the best choice on this turbo w/ these cube limitations. my tuner has a 355 SBF and a 91/88mm and doesn't have much problems w/ spool, but from what i've been reading lately, the S91 seems to be a good option also.

i guess to put this simply, what block, internals, heads/intake, and turbo would you guys go w/ on this setup? thanks in advance.

The S91 should do great to 1200rwhp or better and hit hard.

I am not saying 1200 max.....but I do doubt it would make 1400 or better to the tires with a 346+ci motor. Its not a large frame turbo.

I have no idea of the rules for your class or your budget. I think the speed bug calls for a LSX block.

i've given that some thought, but i think i can build a pretty strong SBC for half the cost of building an LSX. if i'm wrong, somebody point me in the right direction. i know better than to start a budget on this build since my last build took about 3 years and a whole lot more money than i anticipated. i want this one done right the first time and be somewhat reliable (ex. not being worried about going over 6000 RPM).

hellbents10, should i go w/ a large frame 91 w/ an 88mm inducer? that's what my tuner has and he's approx 1300hp to the wheels on 15-20#'s of boost. i'll make room for the turbo since this will be a no options car unlike my last build. i thought it would be cool to have a/c, stereo, power windows and seats and still be able to compete, but this class is getting out of hand and i want to be a little more competetive.

come on guys, nobody else has any input?
