Default STS resistor smoking..

I know it gets hot, but should it be smoking? Would it be ok to just bypass it and run the oil pump on high?

you can. It may shorten the liife of the pump, but they dont quit very easily

Thanks...Should the oil from turbo to the valve cover be spurting or gushing out? If the resistor goes does the pump stop?
