ls4 turbocharging question.

ls4 turbocharging question. I'm considering turbocharging my impala SS, it has the 5.3l LS4. I want to run around 8-10 pounds of intercooled boost. Does anyone else run boost like that on a stock LS engine? What is safe on a stock LS engine?

My buddy turboed his ls4 06 monte ss. The engine has about the same stock strength as an ls1 or ls2 as far as boost goes. I wouldn't go past 8 but i guess you could do 10 with some perfect tuning and good fuel. BTW my buddies car made over 400 at the wheels on 8 lbs
