F1 on stock ls1

Once you pulley that F1 down enough that it doesnt blow the heads off the stock motor the step up and under curve boost are moot. Blowers, like turbos, are made to operate most efficiently in a certain impeller RPM range. They make different size blowers for a reason
But if you do decide on a F1 I hope you like the way a Procharger sounds because its about twice as loud as a D1SC.

At least thats the way one member described the noises his F1 blower makes

They sound sick. The only reason I could see not wanting a loud blower is because you dont want others to know whats under the hood.. but its obvious what you have under the hood even if you have a little p1sc. So you might as well go all the way and get the "velociraptor under the hood" sound with the F1r

i understand that they put out more volume but if they had 15 pounds on a stock motor then y couldnt u put a 7 pound pulley on a f1 and work with that i mean its only a 500 upgrade from the door instead of wasting my money on one in the long fun whats the worst thing thats going to happen im goin to put a hole in the block and i have to buy a new one when im ready to go bigger.

Bob you put 15 pounds throw that stock motor on a d1 right i understand that the f1 puts out way motor volume but y couldnt you run a f1 on lower pounds for a little while to at lease save money in the long run.

Well, first of all, there is no more modification for an F1 than for a D1. I went from a P1 (same housing as a D1) to an F1 and it bolted right up, and I still had room to put the hat and filter on. Now as far as putting an F1 on a stock motor, I say go for it! You'll just have an excuse to build a better engine up sooner than if you had went with a D1! And then, sky is the limit as far as how big you want to go with your engine. You won't have much restriction if you want to build a big cube monster

I am getting ready to finish bolting this f1 up on my car, but my car is a little lower compression then stock and i also have a custom pulley made for the blower to try and keep boost down. If or when she goes then that will be a good reason for a built motor.I will let you know how it turns out.
