Default best manifolds to face rearwards (conventional style)

just the stockers or do any of the other 90 lsx style manifolds give a little better design to face towards the rear?

I've never seen a conventional face rearwards only the sheetmetal and single planes.

You want to go turbo or what? Get some 6.0L headers and flip those biatches.

Some of you are thinking intake manifolds and some are thinking exhaust. I'm not sure either! I'm guessing exhaust since we're in the FI forum.

I think he is talking Exhaust manifolds... something better then Stock but not headers... for a rear-mount setup maybe?

reason i went with stockers, is, i already have them, dont really see anyreason to get shorties if i see other people using truck manifolds and running crazy numbers

i was just thinking of the durabilty of a cast manifold. all the reliable kits ur see out there (non race set ups) use a cast manifold instead of a tubular header. but i guess with the turbo not being mounted directly to them cracking wouldnt be an issue.....hmmm. i still have my stock manifolds but they are ugly sobs and they have emissions provisions on them which i no longer have.

the ohio boys have went something like low 8's I believe with the stock exhaust manifolds (6.0)... There isn't much thinking to a good setup these days since there has been quite a few folks that have been there and done that..

i know that the zo6 and 6.0 exhaust manifolds were mentioned to mount up conventional style, but i would think they wouldnt clear the stock k-member or something along those lines

its not the money aspect its more the durability. i really like the idea of a z06 maniofld if it would work.

I sold my old jba shorties to ddsniper on this board that are being used in a turbo setup. I think he has a web page linked in his sig, or you might want to check out the pics or give him a pm.

That's what I'm talking about... you really don't have to think about it anymore... if you're going with a centri just mock what Kp is doing.. If you're doing turbo then there are a plethera of setups to mock....
