Default Witch ATI will suit me best?>>

I have just obtained so more money now and will finally be able to make the supercharger purchase I have wanted to for along time. My question is I have an 2000 Camaro SS and it has the A4 w/ 42k mi, and I drive it daily, so I need the most reliable setup I can do but with the full effect of supercharger benefits. I don’t wanna do a Vortech because it would be the best idea to run an intercooler and the #6 kit is non-intercooled and I don’t wanna run #9 with their intercooled kit that is too much boost. So I would like to get an ATI kit then. So now im trying to decide between the #5 and #7 kits. The #4 is prob not worth it, but im leaning toward doing the #5 kit, Because if you want it to be the most reliable and you wanna run over #5 then you would have the lower the compression ratio, correct? And I do not have the money now to do that. So I think I should just do the #5 kit now and know I still have the easy option to run more boost later on as the money allows. So what else should I run with the #5 kit. To start off I will list the mods I already have
- FTRA will have to remove
- Lid (filter & smooth bellow) will have to remove
- Thundervolt wires with ngk plugs
- Hooker LT's and ORP
- 160 deg. Thermo
- Borla adj. system
- FREE mods and a lot of BMR stuff etc...(gauges, tint....)

So with the #5 kit I will need?
- Walbro pump and a new FMU?
- TR6 plugs I now have TR55's
- and do a dyno tune? (I would really like not have to mess with the computer)
anything else? with out going into the divine or anything yet and I wanna have the most reliable daily driveable set-up I can have. LOL I have a lot of ?'s but thanks a lot for helping me out, im new to superchargers.

With your mods and the 5# kit you will probably only see 3-4#'s of boost. I would go for the 7# kit, which would put you around 5# pounds where you want to be. If I'm not mistaken, the 5 and 7# kits come with everything you need. (fuel pump, injectors)

I would at least go with the ATI 7# kit to go with the mods that your running. The 8# ATI and 9# Vortech kits can also be used without any problems. You can usually run up to 9-10# of boost with the stock bottom end but I wouldn't go any higher than that.

The 4# ATI kit comes with everything you need for the install (it uses an FMU and inline pump). You'll need custom programming for the 5# kit, larger injectors (42#), an inline or in-tank pump and custom programming for the 7 and 8# kits. Most people that go with the 5# system usually upgraded to the 7# at some point.

The 6 and 9# Vortech kits come with everything you need for the installation (including a T-Rex fuel pump, and FMU).

save yourself money in the future and go with the #7 D1 atleast.

I had the ati P1 and with the #5 pulley only saw #3boost (free flowing exhaust/headers/no cats) after changing to the #7 pulley I made #4.5-#5 boost with a noticable diference in power. the fmu and base kit are a waste. do injectors and programming and you won't regret it...
