Default zo6 cam with a s/c

orig i was going to run a low budget setup (if there is such a thing) i had bought a couple lq4 engines, was going to run my d1sc on them with a zo6 cam, and if they blew, oh well
now i have built one of them with good rods and forged pistons (i am running the 317 heads) and i still have the zo6 cam-i was looking for decent driveability and idle, and since i had this cam i was going to still use it-am i leaving a lot on the table with this cam (the engine is going in an A body car)
i planned on using an ls6 intake, and fuel rails, and want to use the vette coil covers, which clamp onto the stock fuel rails-so maybe the power is confined to what the stock fuel rails can handle anyway-thanks

i guess what i really want to ask, is with the parts i have, (6.0, 9.2 comp)
and the 02 zo6 cam, will i already be pretty much max'n out the stock fuel rails and 317 heads (nonported)and if i went to a step bigger on the cam,
would i be wasting money by not getting the most out of it-i dont want to get into real bad idle qual-i already have one of those with my 489, f1r b/b-
the gen 3 motors seem to respond diff to cam specs than gen 1's anf b'b's

u shouldnt max out the fuel rails or the heads on a stock motor. thats preaty much the same cam they use in a 6.0 vett. good for boost. im running untouched 317's and stock rails with 60lbs inj. i think the rails max out around 600-650bhp

The mild cam will work just fine. If you want more power, spin the crap out of your blower. If you hit a brick wall as far as developing power goes at that point....then throw on some heads and a bigger cam.

Many use stock 317 heads in FI and make great numbers as well as the LS6 intake and fuel rails. So you are good there, as far as the Z06 cam I'd say use it. Its a great cam in S/C and turbo applications. Stealth and will make gobs of power, won't be optimum but I don't think you'll be leaving allot on the table. Many use that cam, like already said, if you want more power than its time to pulley down (smaller)
