Default Coolant Bypass

Ever since that thread Pat G started about which intake is better, I've been thinking about the cyl 7 & 8 overheating issue someone brought up. (appologies to the Mod, but I forget your name now) Anyway, I'm thinking we may be bringing a lot of this on ourselves by doing the coolant crossover bypass mod (ala LS6).

Has anyone thought about / tried running a BIG hose from all 4 of those fittings to the radiator. I seem to recall big block Chevies having a simlar issue in stock car races & that is what they did. Looking at the heads & gaskets, the rear cylinders should have more flow than the fronts, so maybe it's those plugs?

I don't know about that, but that is where my turbos pic up there coolant from, it was Kurt from W2W that I remember bringing that up the last time although it has been discussed numerous times. With the Vic jr though you could run the 98-00 coolant crossover pipes?

i run the ls coolant pipes with my ls6 intake. You just grind the ribs on the bottom of the ls6 intake and the ls1 pipes will fit

im running a bbk intake with the coolant tubes, I just cut the stock metal crossover section and replaced it with rubber hose so I could route it where I needed it, I did have to take a dremel to one of the corners of the intake to get it to sit down, I think the whole process took less than a half hour, well worth it in my opinion
