Do you have a part number for the nitrous fitting that needs to go in the oil feed line? Appreciate all your help JPATI.

Looking at the picture, the turbo drain looks like its below the split at the block/pan, in my opinion this is WAY to low, you really need a scavenge pump. Most companies that sell turbos and kits can help you out with one of those.

Something different then what you posted about. What is the turbine side housing A/R? What brand turbo is it? Is your exhaust truck manifolds? Header type? Log type? Have any idea what the boost pressure is or the rwhp? WHat heads and cam does it have?

I am building something like your set up. Wanted to know how your set up turned out.

I've seen that alot. Most of the time it's due to too much oil pressure in the turbo or too small of a return. All the cars I build now get a restrictor in the oil feed line.Ussually takes care of the problem.

I think I might have found some contributing factors on oil in the cold side. I've been reading a lot on the PCV system on boosted cars. So, I decided to check out how this one was setup. Looks like the passenger side valve cover vent tube is connected to the intake side of the turbo via a bung welded to the piping. Here is a pic:

Passenger Side Valve Cover port:

This is where it connects to:

I'm thinking since the turbo is low its just sucking what ever oil gets inside this tube. Time for a catch can.

fix your drain first, my car smoked like a mother by having the drain exactly like you have it.
try to put the fitting on the side of the oil pan instead of the bottom like its at now.

Well, the thing is I haven't really had any smoking issues (at least none that I can tell). I just had the oil in the cold side pipes. I'm starting to think the PCV might be causing that. The only bad thing is I really can't put a lot of miles on the car right now since the tranny is busted.

Smokin, you have any pics of where you placed your drain on the oil pan? I am getting a tubular k-member as soon as I sell these racing seats. Might be something to fix once I have the k-member off the car and easy access to the oil pan.

Were you having issues with oil in your cold pipes as well? Also, can I just drill and tap a fitting, or is it best to weld in a bung and screw a fitting in? Thanks again for helping this turbo newb out.

yes i was having a little oil in my cold pipes, not quite as much as you have, i think most of the oil was coming out the exhaust side.

yes you can just tap a fitting and use thread tape if you want, i just welded a bung to it cause i had a welder handy (seee my **** poor job of learning to weld aluminum there eekk)
