well I think I made up my mind on going with a pair of the TTI manifolds, they are a bit pricey at $1500 but they appear to be of high quality and should fit my car without much of a headache. Truck manifolds are cool too but personally I dont think they can handle road course style abuse like a nice cast manifold can. Thanks guys for all the input

the pipe that connects the manifold to the turbo most definitely is not though... and yes I know it can support the power but from seeing what the setup looks like in a vintage A body I think I will pass on the truck manifold setup. If I could set it up like an F body thatd be ok but due to where the steering box sits, I would have to flip the manis upside down and have the pipes start up high and turn down to the the turbo as opposed to f bodies where they exit low and turn up to the turbo. Cracking is also a concern on a setup that will see 20 mins of sustained boost unlike a drag setup that might see 10 secs of the same abuse.
All these concerns more than out-weigh the cost of a pair of manifolds. Coming from expierience on other cars, cracking on manifolds is unbelievably frustrating and becomes an issue that bites into time that could be spent making the car better as opposed to simply maintaining it. Remember everything has its pros and cons and the only con in a nice cast manifold specifically made for turbocharging is the heavy upfront cost which sounds to be about $1500 up front. I dunno maybe there is a cheaper alternative that someone knows about that meets my requirements but if you know of a setup that...
1. Can handle sustained high temperature abuse repeatedly without cracking and/or warping.
2. Fits in a vintage A body
3.is asteticly pleasing
4. is $1500 or less

I know a ton of pro-touring guys that would love to have a set of manifolds that meet those requirements. As of now, the only reliable hi performance turbo specific headers ready to go are over $5k and are beautiful tubular manifolds from Nelson Racing. These are more or less out of the price range of 98% of the guys that want to turbocharge their cars. "Im willing to pony up for the TTi's unless someone has a better alternative.

actually nevermind about TTi . After being told that it should fit, I came across the instructions for the kit the manifolds are used on and they will defintely not work on a chevelle because the motor mount lives in the same spot as the compressor housing. This sucks.... back to the drawing board

I'm not familiar with the A-Body, what kind of hood clearance do you have? I know Schwartz Performance (I know he is a member but I'm not sure if he is a vender) makes a pair of high mount turbo manifolds.
