What kind of power are you looking for? Guys have made huge numbers using manifolds.

You can get some custom headers built that would make some more power than manifolds.

Would it be worth the extra money? No.

Headers will make more power than manifolds, even on a turbo car. They will also allow the engine to drive better, meaning more low end, and faster spooling. However with the turbo your optimal primary dimensions are going to be different than N/A.

Is it worth the cost? Arguable. For me, it most certainly was as I wanted to build the headers anyway. For those who have to pay someone else to do it, I'd drop the $1000 elseware. My setup, thick gauge equal length 20 X 1.75" pimaries, CNC laser cut 3/8" flanges, dual 2.5" collectors:

I'm not sure. The piping, thick gauge mild steel, was around $200 for all of it, but I get a decent discount through the company I go through. I'd budget around $400 for piping. Stahl Headers has the cheapest prices I've found yet, and very quality bends/collectors too. Then figure roughly $50 for the flanges, and $200 for the coating. All in all I have about $400 into my headers and Y-pipe. But for an LS1, on an average build, I'd say you'll be looking at around $600-$800. And double that if you won't be doing the welding. But if you look for deals, do all of the work yourself, and do a good job designing the headers, I think you could escape south of $600.

I went with 1.75", but I can't decide those numbers for your car. On a turbo car, it depends on what your shooting for. Response and spool times you'll want smaller primaries (1.75"), on-boost power you'll want bigger (1 7/8-2"). Any size you go with it's going to like, but I'd probably go with a 1.75" primary, but I put a lot of priority into response and spool times, much moreso than most of this forum does.
