Yup me too, I had a 408 all built than ordered a new callies stock crank to make it a 370. Didn't want that big of a turbo to support those CI's properly. Is mainly a street car though and don't think that the S91 will be a street car to say the least.

BTW, what is that little red thing beside that turbo? Is the turbo that big or is that can one of those mini one's you can buy Damn your car will fly it had wings

Ya it was just a joke, it will be a fun build that is for sure. If done right it will still be very streetable, thats the beauty of these cars!

Thats the challenge for me this time around. I am setting my car up to be daily driveable. Thats the sole reason behind the Small cube engine and bigger turbo, 4L80E, and no spool in the 12 bolt. I actually want a little lag with this setup. Lag = Traction Control on the street. This setup should be able to compete power wise withthe last Shop car. It should be alot more streetable though.

LOL, I see you mentioned the word spool. Not too street friendly for you? I'm still torn on the truetrac and spool but don't want to Its crazy on how many things compile together to make the car more or less streetable. I had this in mind when I was choosing everything.

Spools are not that bad on the street. I just dont want to mess with it and the 12 bolt already has an Eaton Posi. I just offered the 12 bolt to a guy for $1600 shipped. I had rather build a nine inch when I need it. I will ride around ont he 10 bolt for a while. All the car is gonna see is street tires for a long time.

Anyone who says a spool is not streetable is a (sorry mods) *****. They either:

A--Have never owned a spooled car they drove on the street very often or

B--They got sick of burning though tires

My Marro is spooled and the only time I really even know its there is when I'm
pushing it.....barf!

I don't like what I've read about the locker the only other considertion for me would be a truetrac and I think it would hold up in a 9'' up to about 650rwhp. I might opt for it and take the chances of it blowing up, seems to be holding up fine to allot of power on some serious track cars. Its the 12 bolt thats the weak link.

What negativity did you read about a locker?

My good friend Mr_president ran a locker and hung about a foot of tire w/ ~550 whp through a TH400 and 9".

Just how they tend to lock and unlock as they desire, giving the feeling of the rear of the car swaying from side to side, etc. I've read a few threads about people having the locker and fed up with it so they switched to the spool and absolutely loved it. No more of the 'jerking' feeling, not only that but they clanking, etc. Also at the track, with it not locking of the start.

SuperZ- I am interested to see this out come with the S91. I did a full built 408 setup for that same turbo. I am 8.5:1 compression wise, heads, custom cam, and intake, Bigstuff3, Full built TH400 and all. Funds just got low so I had to hold off on the kit but I can't want to see what yours will do. If you need a idea on cam specs let me know.

Never mind saw your post when I was reading up.. Lag = Traction Control on the street.
What some dont understand is on the street turbo lag is good. Hell can you think how many tires you would go through a month if it had a instant spool time. They make 2-steps and other things to help spool big bo's

Wow, you're pretty close then. Do you care to post some pics of where/how it's mounted? I'm wanting to go in the stock battery/overflow area, but wasn't sure it'd fit. Thanks. Nice car too BTW.
