Default Building a 408 for boost what pistons?

I have looked and I can get the JE pistons that with my heads would yield a 9.1 CR. With the Mahle pistons here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MAHLE...spagenameZWD1V it would yield a 8.6.1. I would like to make a solid 800whp at around 15-18 psi with a 88. Those are the goals that I have in mind. The Mahle pistons are a little cheaper a couple hundred or so but do I really want to save a couple hundred on something this important? The rods are 4 inch stroke Compustar and the crank is a Eagle crank all forged. Thanks

Let me know and PM me. I would like to order something soon. I am not sure what the motor will make turned up but I would imagine that it would be in the 1k range.

Scoggin Dickie said that with the parts that I have and was looking at 800-1000 wouldn't be a problem.

The heads are Dart 225 Pro 1 with a 62CC combustion chamber. With a -29cc dish it would be 9.1 with the -32 dish it would be 8.6.

what ever you go with make sure there 2618 and not 4032 alloy for that boost level, something with a nice thick top ring land would be nice, I went with weisco this time around but my last set were diamonds, I had no trouble with them at 16 psi

Just a thought on heads cc, bigger head cc would give thicker head thickness for boost and you can reduce piston cc and your pistons will be thicker, too, for boost.

Head cc of 72 and piston cc of 10-15, for around 9:1 SCR.
