Default Sc options with my setup?

427 with comp around 11.99.1. We were thinking of .065 gaskets to get that number down and go with 5-6 lbs boost. Would a P1 work or would it not feed the cubic inches? Possibly D1? Not very informed with the forced induction stuff but I am trying to learn so let me know what you guys think my options are. Thanks for the help.

A P1 would probably be too small. Even with you compression you will probably need an F1 or bigger. Try EPP and see what they suggest.

I think I would change the pistons out on that motor then boost 10-12 psi. That monster would scream! I would try to get the compression more towards 9.0 - 9.5 range.

+1. Yep, don't cheap out now with a questionable (thicker head gaskets can lead to more detonation with >.060 piston-to-quench clearance) solutions. Do it once and do it right.

you need to be aming for 9.5-1 comp ratio, thats what most of the big power SC guys are going for these days.

I agree. I'd drop the compression ratio with different pistons and then I'd use an ATI ProCharger F1A. You are going to need a whole new fuel system (if yours is mostly stock) to feed this beast. Bob

If all you really want is 5-6 lbs. a P1 will do that. But if you tell someone you've got a blown 427 their going to expect a lot more. An F series is the more correct match.
