May have bad ring

Car blew out dipstick last night and oil went everywhere. Will compression check it today. I pushed dipstick down and took a ride around the block and hit 3# and felt fine and dipstick did not come back out. I guess there is something wrong.......The motor still runs, idles, and drives fine...

I hope its ok.....any suggestions

Car only has 26500miles

do you have the valve covers vented?

no breather....plan on getting one if everything is ok

compression testing it in the morning

sounds like you just boosted the crankcase, what are you doing for a pcv setup and breathers?

stock pcv......except line that went to throttle body now goes down to ati inlet hat.....other than that, no breather or anything

A broken ringland will normally be heard, although we've had them not make a sound at all. Compression test don't always show up a broken ringland either. The good news is that it really doesn't take much for the dipstick to pop up. Let me know what you find out, like I told you on the phone yesterday, I'll bet everything is okay. Bob
