Default Eng. rebuild-need your help guys, ASAP...

hey im rebuilding my 6.0 30 over (370ci) right now is in the MaCHINE SHOP im installing new probe -16cc dish pistons with some Diamond pro select rings and some scat H beam rods. And i dont know what to tell them what to file fit the piston rings any body know? or recomend me. My engine is going to go in a 2006 silverado with a front mount turbo and maybe some 75 shot of nitous its going to be my daily driver im looking on 15# of boost the most or just 12# of boost. What do you think of this gaps top ring=.024 & second ring at= .026 let me know what do you all think or your ring gaps and im just planning on 600hp the most at the rear i dont want to go hard core up to 800-1100 hp so let me know, thanks............

I'm not the person for knowledge on this question but just wait longer for answers. Eventually someone will chime their opinion in.

hey im actually in the same process right now.. im actually going between many sets of rings.. lets see for the total seal (plasma top ring, cast iron bottom) they said bore X .0055 for the top.. and bore X .0035 for the bottom. and if your using nitrous you should gap them alittle more apart. so for mine which is a 10 over ls1. its 3.907 times .0055 gives you the gap in inches.. ect... i actually gaped mine all between .020 and .025

go by the recomendation of diamond, it is there ring and they know the exspansion rate of the matterial they use better than anyone else, its better to be on the safe side than to break a ring or score a cylinder from too tight a gap.
