what would be the possible negatives that could come from a CR that is TOO high? and I would image many of them could be helped with meth right?

What exaclty is it about a lower CR that allows the engine to handle higher boost levels? Just because the cylinder has more open room to pack with air? I guess the cylinder pressure would get too high with the same boost and high CR?

I have seen so mnany cars with stock bottoms and 317 heads KICK ***. Fast spool, great power, and live long with a great tune. I am running almost an identical set-up as you LS1impulse. My compression seems to and 9.1 or 9.2:1.

I plan to boost anywhere from 10-14 psi. If I'm hitting the track on a hot day @ 14psi, I might just dump 5 gallons of 104 in for added safety.

and numbers on your setup? Im hoping to eventually have this turbo take the car to the 1000WHP mark, but for now will only be running 15lbs max. I was thinking 8.5 at first but I think for the sake of faster spooling I will target 9.0:1
